The Vividh and Cultural Committee provides a platform for students to develop and showcase their talents and skills in various creative fields; from dance, music and drama, to visual arts, such as painting and photography. Every year, the committee holds a talent show, Voyage, for freshers. It also celebrates Traditional Day and Annual Day.
One of the path-breaking initiatives of this committee is its annual intercollegiate cultural festival – Vividh. In 2009, with the introduction of Vividh, the college created history as it become the first college of law under the University of Mumbai to offer an exclusive cultural festival. With a footfall of over 8000 people, the three-day festival has been growing bigger with every passing year.
Besides offering opportunities to students to cherish varied cultural festivities, the aim of this initiative is to help students grow as confident individuals as they develop their managerial and executive skills. In the organisation of such as mega event, students develop people skills, financial management, decision-making, and time management. Most importantly, as students of law, they receive real-time experience of various legal aspects as they closely partner with sponsors, and interact with various authorities to ensure secure and legitimate administrative procedures.
The committee also selects students to represent the college and participate in various inter-collegiate cultural festivals and competitions. In the days to come, we look forward to growing more as a committee offering more opportunities to our students for their overall development.
