The College Moot Court Committee organised Symposium on Conficendis Legislativa: 12th National Legislative Drafting Competition 2023 in association with Civis on 8th April, 2023

 

The College Organised an 11th Nyayavalakan National Trial Advocacy & Judgment Writing Competition, 2022 on 6th October to 09th October, 2022.

 

The College’s Moot Court Society organised Two-Day Art of Mooting Workshop in light of the 16th Grand Intra Moot Court Competition, 2022 on 2nd – 3rd August, 2022.

 

The College’s Moot Court Society [MCS] organised a ‘16th Grand Intra Moot Court Competition, 2022’ on 12th & 13th August, 2022.

  1. The College Moot Court Team comprising a Ms. Harshita Tyagi, Mr. Janak Sejpal & Ms. Trinayani Iyer participated and Secured Runner up position at 2nd MNLU, Nagpur National Moot Court Competition, 2023 on 17th February to 19th February, 2023.

  • The College Moot Court team comprising Prapti Sangoi, Vidisha Tanna & Siddhi Mehta Third Year B.L.S/LL.B participated and won Best Memorial at 1st International Paperless Cyber Law Moot Court Competition organised by NUSRL, Ranchi and Cyber law University on 10th - 13th February, 2022.
  • The College Moot Court team comprising Khushi Dhanesha, Kartik Hede Third Year B.L.S/LL.B & Anupam Verma Second Year B.L.S/LL.B participated and won Best Team & 2nd Best Memorial at IV Surana & Surana and UPES School of Law National ‘Insolvency Law’ Moot Court Competition, 2021-2022 organised UPES School of Law National on 4th – 6th February, 2022.
  • The College Moot Team Ms. Saziya Godiwala, Ms. Deepanjali Mishra & Ms. Manasi Adeshra won the Best Team Prize at AUMP National Virtual Moot Court Competition Amity Law School, Gwalior on 22nd -24th September, 2021.
  • The College Moot team comprising Parishi Jain, Kinjal Baug and Sonal Nandu won Runners Up Prize at II JECRC National Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2021 organised by School of Law, JECRC University, Rajasthan on 7th – 9th August, 2021. Ms. Parish Jain was awarded Best Researcher Prize.
  • The College Moot team comprising Chandni Turakhiya, Khushi Dhanesha and Shaili Shah won Runners Up Prize at 8th KIIT National Moot Court Competition, 2021 on 16th – 18th July, 2021.

  • The team consisting of Ms. Aayushi Vanzara & Ms. Renee Gohil stood 3rd in the 15th Dr V.N. Bedekar Memorial Online Legal Debate Competition held on 10th April, 2021.
  • The College Moot team comprising of Nimrah Sayani  (Fouth Year B.L.S./LL.B.), Saziya Godiwala - (Third Year B.L.S./LL.B.), Anushka Mansharamani - (Second Year B.L.S./LL.B.) won Best Memorial Prize at 1st National Virtual Moot Court Competition on Constitutional Law 2021 organised by School of Law, Christ, Delhi NCR on 4th - 6th March, 2021.

  • The College Moot team comprising of Dhruv Doshi - (Third Year B.L.S./LL.B.), Amit Padwal - (Second Year B.L.S./LL.B.) won Semi Finalist Prize, Best Memorial Prize at 1st Online National Moot Court Competition 2020 organised by IMS LAW COLLEGE on 20th - 24th June 2020.

  • The Moot Court Society [MCS] organized Nyayavalokan 2019 - National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition from 10th October, 2019 to 13th October, 2019. Hon’ble Justice Umesh D. Salvi and Adv. Vaibhav Gagade was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function.
  • The Finals of the National Trial Advocacy & Judgment Writing Competition was adjudged by Hon’ble Justice P.N. Deshmukh, Justice D. S. Naidu and Justice P. S. Naik, Bombay High Court.
  • Fresher’s Moot Court Competition was held on 15th – 16th October, 2019 for the students of the F.Y.B.L.S./LL.B. class.

Jesica Thakkar was awarded Best Speaker Prize.
  • The College Moot team comprising of Abha Pendse and Rishika (Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B.) won 2nd Runners Up Prize and Best Judgement Writing Prize at the Balasaheb Apte Trial and Moot Court Competition, 2019 organized by Babasaheb Apte College of Law, Mumbai on 20th – 22nd September, 2019.
  • The College Moot team comprising of Madhav Ved, Sejal Goyal, Krishna Sharma and Nisha Dharod (Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B.) participated in Surana and Surana National Trial Advocay Competition, 2019 organized by New Law College, Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune on 21st – 22nd September, 2019. Madhav Ved was awarded the 3rd Best Advocate Prize.
  • The College Moot team comprising of Madhuli Kango, Arshiya James and Nitisha Makharia (Second Year B.L.S./LL.B.) had participated in the UPES Suarana and Surana Insolvency Moot, 2019 organized by UPES School of Law, Dehradun on 27th – 28th September, 2019. Madhuli Kango was awarded Best Speaker Prize.
  • The College Moot team comprising Yash Modi (Fifth Year B.L.S./LL.B.), Mahek Vasa and Dhwani Jain (Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B.) won Best Team Prize IITM National Moot Court Competition, 2019 organized by IIMT College of Law, Noida on 18th – 19th October, 2019.
  • The College Moot team comprising of Bhoomika Shah, Shaili Shah (Second Year B.L.S./LL.B.) and Sidharth Salve (Third Year B.L.S./LL.B.) won the Best Team Prize and Best Memorial Prize at Justice P.B Sawant 7th National Moot Court Competition, 2020 organized by Shankar Rao Chavan College, Pune on 1st – 2nd February, 2020.
  • The College Moot team comprising of Ashwini Achari, Neelomi Popat and Nishka Suneja (Fifth Year B.L.S./LL.B.)won the Best Team Prize at UILS, Chandigarh University National Trial Advocacy Competition, 2020 organized by UILS, Chandigarh University on 21st – 23rd February, 2020. Neelomi Popat was awarded the Best Advocate Prize.
  • The College team comprising of Ayonee Madhani, Dhruv Siddharthsingh Sikarwar and Mahee Asher (Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B.) won 1st Runners Up Prize and Best Memorial Prize at Maharaja Sayajirao University – Law Fest, 2020 organized by Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara on 28th February – 1st  March, 2020.
  • The College Moot team comprising of Abha Pendse, Krishna Sharma and Madhav Ved (Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B.) participated in G.H Raisoni 15th National Moot Court Competition, 2020 organized by G.H Raisoni School of Law, Nagpur on 13th – 15th March, 2020. Abha Pendse was awarded the Best Advocate Prize and Krishna Sharma was awarded the Best Personality – Male Prize.

  • Fresher’s Moot Court Competition was held on 27th October, 2018 for the students of the F.Y.B.L.S./LL.B. class.

  • The team comprising of Khushi Savani of Second Year B.L.S./LL.B. and Shaili Shah of First Year B.L.S./LL.B. won the First Prize at the 13th Grand Intra Moot Court Competition on 29th – 30th March, 2019 organised by the College Moot Court Society [MCS].  
  • The College Moot team comprising Tasneem Changi, Komal More of Second Year LL.B.  and Nishkaa Suneja of Second Year B.L.S./LL.B. and Nakiya Fidai of First Year LL.B./B.L.S.won Best Team Prize at Kshan – 14th National Trial and Appellate Moot Court Competition organized by G. H. Raisoni Law School, Nagpur on 15th – 17th March, 2019.
  • The College Moot Court team comprising Tanvi Chavan, Ipshita Kate and Urvi Karolia of Third Year B.L.S./LL.B won Runner Up Prize at Law Tryst- 2019, Moot Court Competition organised by the Jitendra Chauhan College of Law on 8th – 10th March, 2019.
  • The College Moot team comprising Krishi Shah, Riya Kamdar and Ashutosh Agarwal won the Runner-Up Prize at CMR VI National Moot Court Competition, 2018 organized by CMR University School of Legal Studies, Bengaluru on 5th – 7th October, 2018.
  • The College Moot Court team comprising of Vriddhi Maria and Labdhi Parekh won Best Team Prize at 6th Annual Adv. B. P. Apte Memorial Mock Trial, Moot Court and Judgement Writing Competition, 2018 organised by Adv. Balashaheb Apte College of Law on 28th - 30th September, 2018.
  • The College Moot team comprising Yashvi Shah, Mahee Ashar and Sharmin Kapadia won the Second Runner-Up Prize and Second Best Memorials Prize at Surana & Surana and UPES School of Law National Insolvency Law Moot Competition, 2018 organized by UPES School of Law, Dehradun on 28th – 30th September, 2018.

  • The College Moot Court Society [MCS] organised Nyayavalokan 2017 - National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition from 5th October, 2017 to 8th October, 2017. Mr. Amin Solkar, Mr. Devendra Singh, Advocate, High Court Bombay and Mr. Hiten Venegaonkar, Addl. Public Prosecutor was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function. The Finals of the National Trial Advocacy & Judgment Writing Competition was adjudged by Hon’ble Justice Makarand Karnik and Hon’ble Justice Sarang Kotwal, Bombay High Court.
  • The Moot Court Society of the College conducted the National Legislative Drafting Competition, 2018 and held a Symposium on ‘Regulating Legal Profession’ on 17th April 2018.

  • The College Moot Court Society [MCS] organised the 12th Grand Intra Moot Court Competition on 6th and 7th April, 2018. The Competition was adjudged by Rajiv Chauhan, Senior Advocate (Designated) and President of Appellate side High Court Bar Association and Ashok Purohit, Advocate, High court.

  • The College Moot Court team of Adriana George and Ruchi Gandhi of Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B won Best Team Prize at Late Prin. Dr. P. W. Rege Inter-Collegiate Moot Court Competition organised by New Law College, Mumbai on 24th March, 2017. Ruchi Gandhi was awarded Second Best Speaker Prize.
  • The College team of Avanish Phukat, Dhvani Shah of Second Year B.L.S./LL.B. and Sukaina Shroff of Third Year B.L.S./LL.B. won Runner Up Prize at Lex – Loci, A National Level Inter-collegiate Law Fest organised by Lords Universal College of Law on 16th – 17thMarch, 2018 at Mumbai.
  • The College Moot team of Parisha Shah of Fifth Year B.L.S./LL.B., Devansh Kakkad  of  Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B. and Anshul Kochar of First Year B.L.S./LL.B. won Third  Prize at 8th M. K. Nambyar Memorial National Level Moot Court Competition – 2018 organised by Raja Lakhamgouda Law College on 9th – 11th March, 2018 at Belagavi. Parisha Shah was awarded Best Speaker Prize.
  • The College team of Radhika Sarpotdar, Dhwani Bhinde and Amruta Ponkshe of Fifth Year   B.L.S./LL.B. won Second Prize at DSNLU : Model Assembly of Member States organised by Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University on 16th – 17th March, 2018 at Visakhapatnam.
  • Ms. Naeesha Halai of S.Y.B.L.S./LL.B. won Second Prize at VII National Power Point Presentation Competition – 2018 oganised by M. P. Law College on 9th February, 2018 at Aurangabad.

  • The College Moot team comprising Shriya Sharma, Arshia Taqi and Tilak Raj Mohanty won the Third Best Team Prize at Surana & Surana & Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law International Moot Court Competition – 2017 organized by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab on 1st – 3rd November, 2017. Shriya Sharma was awarded Best Student Advocate Prize.
  • The College team comprising of Shirya Sharma of Third Year B.L.S./LL.B. and Mitali Shahane of Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B. won Best Team Prize at the 3rd Mumbai -Judgment Deliberation Competition, 2017 organised by Government Law College, Mumbai on 16th – 17th September, 2017.

Valedictory Address

The College Moot Court Society [MCS] organised Nyayavalokan 2016 - National Trial  Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition from 20th October, 2016 to 23rd October, 2016. Hon’ble Justice (Retd.) P. D. Kode was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function.

The Finals of the National Trial Advocacy & Judgment Writing Competition was adjudged by Hon’ble Justice Dr. [Mrs.] Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi and Hon’ble Justice Prakash Naik, Bombay High Court.         

 

Students’ Achievements:

  • The College Moot Court team comprising Alka Mehta, Bhoomi Dedhia of Third Year B.L.S./LL.B. and  Jui Masurekar of Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B. won Runner up Prize at 1st Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad National Moot Court Competition - 2016 organised by the Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad on  23rd – 25th September, 2016.
  • Aditya Manubarwala and Shardool Kulkarni represented India as delegates at the Harvard Asia Conference organied by Harvard University under the auspices of Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations ( HPAIR) at Hong Kong on 19th – 23rd August, 2016. Aditya Manubarwala  was awarded the prestigious Chinese General Chambers of Commerce (CGCC) HPAIR Scholarship for the year 2016.

  • Mr. Divej Singh Rana won Best Student Advocate Prize at 3rd All India Gurucharan Singh Tulsi Criminal Law Annual Moot Court Competition, 2017 organised by University Institute of Legal Studies Panjab University, Chandigarh on 2nd – 4th February, 2017.
  • Ms. Madhavi Lakhotia won First Prize in Letter to Chief Justice Competition at ‘ Vidhi Kiran 2016-17’ National Level Fest organised by G. J. Advani Law College on 11th – 12th February, 2017.
  • The College Moot Court team comprising Pavana Padmakumar, Mallika Patel and Shrusti Dalal of Third Year B.L.S./LL.B. won the First Prize  at 2nd National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition organised by Christ University on 23rd- 26th February, 2017  at Bengaluru.
  • The College Moot Court team comprising Yashvi Shah, Labdhi Parekh of Third Year B.L.S./LL.B. and Jesica Thakkar of First Year B.L.S./LL.B. won the Second Runner-up  Prize  at 4th Amity National Moot Court Competition 2017 organised by Amity University on 3rd- 5th March, 2017  at Rajasthan.

  • The College Moot Court team comprising Khushbu Goyal, Divej Singh Rana and Pulkit Mahawar of Second Year B.L.S./LL.B won First Prize at Law Tryst- 2017, Moot Court Competition organised by the Jitendra Chauhan College of Law on 3rd - 5th March, 2017. Mr. Pulkit Mahawar was awarded Best Researcher Prize.
  • The College team of Kashish Mainkar, Jigar Parmar, Vivek Patel of Fith Year B.L.S./LL.B. and  Irani Bahraiz of Fourth Year B.L.S./LL.B. won First Prize at 6th National Moot Court Competition, 5th National Client Counseling Competition, 5th National Legal Drafting Competition and 1st National Judgment Wiring Competition at Lux et Veritas National Law Fest 2017 organised by Baroda School of Legal Studies, Faculty of Law, The Maharaja Sayajiroa University of Baroda on 3rd – 5th March, 2017 at Baroda.
  • The College Moot Court team comprising Yash Modi and Nidhi Desai of Second Year B.L.S./LL.B won Best Team Prize at Late Prin. Dr. P. W. Rege Inter-Collegiate Moot Court Competition organised by New Law College, Mumbai on 9th – 11th March, 2017. Ms. Nidhi Desai was awarded Best Mooter Prize.
  • The College Moot team comprising Sahil Namavati, Vidisha Rohira and Dhaval Savla won the Second Best Team Prize at The First NUALS Antitrust Moot Court Competition organized by National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi on 7th – 9th April, 2017. Sahil Namavati was awarded Best Speaker Prize.

  • The College Moot Court team comprising Neelomi Popat, Ashwini Achari and Behraiz Irani won Best Memorial Prize at 6th National Moot Court Competition, 2015 organised by School of Law, Christ University on 10th -13th September, 2015 at Bengaluru.
  • Ms. Mitakshi Lakhani  won Best Student Advocate Prize at  3rd Annual Adv. B. P. Apte Memorial Mock Trial and Judgment Writing Competition, 2015 organised by PES Law College on 11th -13th September, 2015 at Mumbai.
  • The College Moot team comprising Akanksha Indoria, Dhwani Mainkar and Drishti Modi  won Second Best Team Prize at 1st National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition organized by G. H. Raisoni Law School, Nagpur on 1st- 3rd October, 2015. The College also Won Best Memorial Prize. Akanksha Indoria won Second Best Speaker Prize and Drishti Modi won Best Judgment Prize.
  • The College Moot team comprising Ashwini Achari, Namrata Upadhyay and Hanu Grover won Second Prize at 1st MKES Moot Court Competition organized by MKES College of Law on 18th January, 2016.
  • The College teams represented the college at Lex-Loci – A National Level Inter-collegiate Law Fest – 2016 organised by Lords Universal College of Law on 18th February, 2016 at Mumbai. Aditi Thakur, Jessica Joshi, Chandani Bhatt, Gayatri Kapse and Shivani Talati won First Prize at Bollywood Moot Court. Aditi Thakur and Jessica Joshi won First Prize at Ad-O-Mania and Shivani Talati won First Prize at Letter to Chief Justice competition.
  • The College team of Naureen Chaloria and Malcolm Katrak won Runner-up Prize of the ‘Lawyers on Hunt’ event in Law Tryst- 2016 organised by the Jitendra Chauhan College of Law on  26th -28th February, 2016.
  • The College Moot team of Dhwani Vyas and Udita Saxena won Second Prize at 2nd Smt. Kashibai Navale Moot Court Competition, 2016 organised by Sinhgad Law College on 13th February, 2016 at Pune.

Ramamani Memorial International Taxation Moot Court Competition, 2016 organised by The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law on 4th – 6th March, 2016 at Chennai. Khadija Khalil was awarded Best Speaker Prize.
